What I liked
Beautifully staged by co-director Mehr Kaur this piece was absolutely breathtaking to watch. Some truly masterful physical work by Almanya. I see now in her bio she has a background in stage combat – aha! makes perfect sense. Very commanding performer.
What I didn't like
Improved? I just want more! I would love to see this piece again, but lengthened so I can learn even more about this remarkable woman’s life and journey. I could see this not just being a full length play, but a whole TV series!
My overall impression
Almanya Narula is a shining light and absolutely fantastic actress. She brought such depth to this unjustly forgotten heroine’s story.
