What I liked

Almanya Narula is wonderful in her portrayal, playfully entitled as a former princess would be, yet defiant in the face of certain death. She relishes every instance of outwitting the Nazis, her close scrapes with capture, and how many lives she’d saved, throwing these admissions mixed in with a beautiful parable, back into the faces of her captors. Her accent is lush and well practiced. She is genuine with her physicality as well, weary, bruised, and yet still defiant and faithful to her cause.

What I didn't like

It’s difficult to cover a lot of backstory in a 30 minute show, and considering her predicament, giving too much information might be dangerous, but I would have liked a little more backstory about her life of privilege and maybe an instance that drove her to join the Resistance.

My overall impression

I love rare, untold stories of forgotten history and the life of Noor Inayat Khan is one that definitely deserves more attention. It’s a riveting tale filled with beautiful metaphors and daring bravery in a time we can hardly imagine experiencing ourselves. The sparse set design and lighting elevate her desperate final stand. A very compelling show that deserves its time in the spotlight.
