I enjoyed her honesty and vulnerability in the performance and writing. Her character was likeable, relatable and sympathetic the whole way through. I definitely felt a connection to her character and saw myself in her.
What I didn't like
The trope of a woman finding herself is something we’re starting to see a lot of, but she still managed to have a fresh take. No complaints here! Well done!
My overall impression
Shelly is an incredibly talented vocalist as well as a gifted writer. The songs were stuck in my head for hours after the show!
