Every actor had a very strong perspective and relationship to the rest of the cast. From method actors to drama queens to pompous fools, everyone had a type that they played out very clearly and executed well. The costumes and usage of the space were also exquisite, no inch of the area was left unutilized for the creativity of the actors.
What I didn't like
For being billed as an immersive show it still felt like there was a significant barrier between the actors and the audience. It felt more like the actors would just hang out with the audience during pre-show and intermission (obviously slightly more meta since it’s actors playing actors taking a break from their character), and despite the wonderful conversations with them, it felt like they didn’t have any impact on the show itself. Great opportunities for the individuals who got to be part of the Shakespeare play itself, but otherwise a little lackluster in getting everyone involved.
My overall impression
A fun take on a Shakespearean classic, with great interactive elements and a whirlwind of experiences over the course of the night.
