What I liked
The performance given by Thurzday Lyons was utterly transformative! This is definitely someone to WATCH who was perfectly cast and absolutely able to carry the title role! I was also equally impressed by the performances of Hannah Howzdy and Sofía Bragar – both had lovely, strong voices and fine acting chops to boot!
What I didn't like
I feel as though the actual flow of the show was stymied a bit when each of the Fates had their respective songs – I’m almost curious what would happen if the songs were broken up amongst dialogue or what would happen if character action or animation were happening while the songs were going on…
My overall impression
This musical was such a clever and unique hybrid of story-telling, animation, and modern music! Add in one TREMENDOUS leading lady, a few note-worthy ensemble performances, some fun interpretative dancing, appropriate, period-esque costuming, gorgeous lighting and inventive mask-work and you have a truly inventive Fringe show!! Bravo!!
