What I liked

All three performers, two of whom take on multiple roles, are stellar, eliciting laughs, shock and sympathy at times and righteous anger at others. The story plays like a lost episode of Black Mirror, with a message that has much to say about our approach to maternity, particularly as it regards women of color. It’s pretty serious stuff, but it’s all balanced with humor and interesting characters that you want to know more about and it’s paced well, so it never feels too heavy. This isn’t a depressing show, it’s one designed to leave you angry and hopefully eager to change some things, and it’s extremely successful in that regard.

What I didn't like

Not much to my mind. A few scene transitions could perhaps be a bit clearer and might benefit from killing the stage lights for few seconds between them. But this it nitpicking.

My overall impression

A smart blend of dystopian sci-fi, casual humor and a provocative, sharp message, this show boasts three stellar performances and a storyline that you’ll be thinking about for days. A must-see for fans of both thought-provoking theater and TV shows like Black Mirror or The Handmaid’s Tale.
