Joyful’s brutal honesty and entertaining humor makes this play one not to miss.
What I didn't like
We were sitting audience left and for much of the show, Joyful played it to audience right. So my advice is to sit in the middle of the audience space in order to not see her performance in profile as much as we did.
My overall impression
Given the right-to-life movement in the news, Joyful’s play about her personal journey through several unwanted pregnancies was both heartbreaking and deeply heartfelt, taking a serious subject and offering an often humorous look at what women go through when it comes to breeding decisions. It’s a difficult subject, and Joyful made it an easy one to watch.
