Out of all of the stories, Chhaya Nene’s performance resonated the most and her poetry was the most engaging part of the show. Tanya’s performance was also powerful.
What I didn't like
Note- this is not something that I didn’t not like but could be improved.
1. I do think that given that it is a show highlighting the South Asian experience it seemed strange having a white woman as the director. South Asian voices can and should speak on their own.
2. The venue felt pretty small for such a big show but that just means that they need a bigger stage!
My overall impression
The show was very powerful and well done. It was nice to see a show giving a voice to the South Asian experience. I would watch it again and invite others.
