What I liked
While my first time experiencing “The Vagina Monologues,” I enjoyed the narrative device moving between each of the four women – my favorite moment being when two similar experiences were juxtaposed to show how history (unfortunately) repeats itself. Stories like these are what can help towards changing the future.
What I didn't like
(Edit: when writing the review, this section is labeled as “What could be improved” NOT “What I didn’t like” lol) The voice over or live narrator’s dialogue was difficult to hear over the opening cheers. Could be adjusted for future performances
My overall impression
A powerful performance brought to life by four excellent performers. I was surprised by how much I found in common with their experiences and inevitably moved to tears. An excellent show that deserves to be seen and praised.
