It was performed as a true ensemble piece with each actor getting a chance to tell her own story while the others acted out what was being said. They worked together so well, each moment was a brilliant piece of theater!
What I didn't like
I wanted it to go on longer, learning more and watching the ensemble tell us more about their lives.
My overall impression
This talented ensemble shared stories of their personal experiences growing up as South Asian American women with movement well directed by Marianne Davis. With each being raised in different parts of the world, be it in America or elsewhere, as their stories were told you really got a sense of their identities as well as how all women should look at their bodies without shame. I was really impressed at their level of interaction while using beautiful scarves as props, especially since one of the cast was absent due to illness, and I would never have known that had I not looked at the program! Congrats ladies on a marvelously entertaining and educational show!
