I liked how much was done with such a minimalistic approach. The placement of blocks, scarfs, intertwining of characters, stories. It flowed well, was engaging, creative, moving, funny and sad. Had some very profound moments. Each woman had such unique perspectives and individual journeys despite all being from a South Asian background. Each voice was so distinctive and powerful in their own way. I had goosebumps at various points of the show and found myself literally saying "Wow" aloud several times throughout the performance! ...

Incredibly moving, thought provoking, and hilarious, YKK invites the audience to hear stories often pushed to the margins. While seamlessly weaving their individual narratives with each others, the ladies of YKK show that amongst the different experiences, there are many universally shared ones. Each personal account bolsters the others, allowing us to experience the show through multiple voices speaking as one championing the rights and stories of women. It is easy to see why this show is a Pick of the Fringe.
YKK will leave you wanting to hear more from these talented women, and will invite you to listen to the stories of other women in your life. It's an important show for all to see, and yes, men especially should sit and listen. The...

YONI KI KAHANIYA (#YKK): VAGINA STORIES
Marianna Davis' direction of "YONI KI KAHANIYA" was a mesmerizing experience that unfurled like a meticulously handwoven silk saree. Tanya Thomas, Chhaya Nene, Sapna Kumar, and Sharmita Bhattacharya, the embodiment of different threads, flawlessly interlaced their performances, creating a tapestry of brilliance on stage. The play showcased their collective artistry, seamlessly blending their monologues into a compelling 50-minute emotional journey.
Each actor brought a distinct hue and texture to their respective monologues, infusing them with depth and authenticity. Tanya Thomas's poignant portrayal delved into the intricate complexities of early development, as she bravely shared her experience of masking her confusion by wrapping her l...

What a show! These four women take you on an incredible journey through the lives and struggles and it is brilliant. You get such an view of what they dealt with, what probably so many women deal with, and it is not only emotional, but hilarious and strong. Each actress brings to the piece something different, allowing us to get several perspectives on the subject of their Yoni. And even for a guy, it is a relatable and wonderful thing to see. I highly recommend this piece to everyone!...
