What I liked

Creative staging, costumes, and set design, excellent acting, Amazing Oakes’ amazing voice. The story is a parable about choosing between a life of toil and a life of dreams – chasing beauty and art. The theme is very strong, and the direction keeps the story moving forward. The set design is incredibly creative, using snack bags as banners and plastic cups as ornaments that elevate them in a way I’ve never seen from plastic cups, and it really brings the audience into the show’s mysterious world.

What I didn't like

More overt differentiation in the costumes for the ensemble when they play different roles (like the queen’s costume, which is perfect) would be helpful. Can Amazing Oakes sing more? ;)

My overall impression

An entertaining feast for the eyes
