Each character is relatable through their particular anxieties and insecurities. Even if you don’t suffer from it, the way each character manifests theirs gives you a feeling bonding over a shared trauma. Like someone you’ve shared a foxhole with.
What I didn't like
I cannot think of anything at the moment.
My overall impression
All American is a moving play about not being heard. Each character moves through life with a feeling of reaching out in the dark. It takes a leap through time to find someone to see and hear you more clearly than you can ever see and hear yourself.
