What I liked
The show mixes genres well. From the absurdist drama to dark comedy the show manages to offer a wide array of narratively interesting elements. The characters in both timelines are sympathetic and relatable, contributing to the show’s theme of the basic humanity of all people, irrespective of time and place.
What I didn't like
What should have been a weakness of the show (a missing actor due to illness) was nullified by the stage manager’s excellent stand-in duties!
My overall impression
The show is well written and well-acted. While the subject matter is difficult given our dark times, the writing is able to engage with it in a way that feels both refreshing and meaningful. The cast is strong from top to bottom.
