What I liked
I liked the conversational style of the monologues, and the alternating between the two performers who had different styles and stories to tell.
What I didn't like
I wasn’t sure what purpose the 1990s reenactment videos played in the storytelling. I liked the idea of it but wasn’t quite sure what I was supposed to get from it, and therefore found it superfluous to the power that was viscerally there before us on the stage.
My overall impression
A gorgeous display of grace and grit, of raw emotion and humor, which moved me to tears too many times to count!! My friend and I absolutely loved being a witness to (and participant in) this moving meditation on self-liberated self-image.
