The authors picked a very difficult subject, easy to veer into the (too) personal. But instead they balanced their story/message with humor, sarcasm and moxie. The Olympics rightly assign certain events “Degree of Difficulty” which factors into their score. This subject matter was a “10” in both Degree of Difficulty as well as Execution. Brava!
What I didn't like
Nothing that couldn’t be worked out with additional time and money. The audio wasn’t as clear as it should have been, especially at the top of the show when we need to hear every word of the recorded narration to set the tone. I thought the background photographs worked very well, not so much the staged/scripted videos. All minor notes.
My overall impression
Very impressed. This performance went deep but never lost its way. I think it should continue to be workshopped and deserves to be expanded and taken on the road.
