Amanda Lynne is a force of energy and Vejune is a more understated presence, and they complement each other well. They have a wonderful, supportive demeanor with each other on stage.
What I didn't like
Because these two women both have the talent, I’d love to see more showing the audience the stories through performance and character.
My overall impression
SHAPE OF ME is a show with a message – ’It’s my party and I’ll be happy with my body how it is if I want to be!’ This show is very enlightening as Amanda Lynn and Vejune, through humor and tears, share their personal stories of pain, pride, and picking up the pieces and how they reached the level of confidence they have now. Though admittedly at times they can, like so many of us who have had issues with accepting ourselves in anyway in our lives, still feel the sting of judgement based on their bodies.
