The show was a beautiful, concise exploration of trans people that weren't defined by their transition or tragedy. Despite being trans myself, I had not heard of any of the elders that were represented, but at no point did this feel like a dry history lesson....

This was my first time ever seeing trans masculine people in media/art. The play changed my psyche and my life, made me feel that I’m not crazy for living my truth. It was especially powerful to hear the stories of trans masculine historical figures. Representation truly is everything. Thank you for making this happen. ...

A deeply emotional, powerful show. Trans historical figures are brought to the stage with such immediacy and personality by an incredibly skilled cast. The show performs a valuable service by spotlighting these oft-forgotten people, but never forgets to move and entertain in the process; I found myself inspired, moved to laughter, and moved to tears, at various points throughout. It's a profound and worthwhile experience for trans attendees like myself, and cis attendees alike. ...

A gorgeous cast of exceptional actors clearly led by an equally exceptional director. Seeing an entirely transgender performance, and sharing our histories was an enriching experience. The fact the actors wrote their monologues about their respective characters made this a rich performance to watch. ...

Moving, surprising, entertaining, and enlightening. The stories of six remarkable but relatively unknown historical figures are told by six actors. The common thread is that all of them--subjects and actors--are trans, which is somehow simultaneously fundamental and also almost incidental. The stories are about courage and embracing being oneself while facing challenges that I and other cisgendered folks simply never encounter. Go and be inspired, whatever your gender status....
