What I liked
I love musicals!!! Bringing story and song together was an absolute delight! And the delight and humor held us all so tenderly while receiving the information of so much devastation and grieving. The real time relationship between Eli and Joseph was especially uplifting and grounding, knowing that there was a true happy ending. I also loved the connection with Eli’s inner voice of knowing and guidance. Beautiful.
What I didn't like
I was a little confused by the overture with the blank stage at the beginning. Wasn’t sure why that time was taken since the show was a solid 90 minutes. There is one section where the lights are flashing – not as intense as a strobe – but for sensitive people it might be good to know about.
My overall impression
Loved it!! I was so incredibly moved and uplifted. The content, themes and heartfulness stayed with me for hours. Eli is such an inspiring, extraordinary human being and the loving expressed through his story and beautiful songs filled with such poignant hope for our humanity.
