And...Out of the Blue is a delight, especially for any fan of classical musicals. Although delight doesn't seem how'd you'd describe a story of prejudice, AIDS, suicide, and cancer, Eli Hans makes his journey very accessible. Through original songs and dance and an array of characters, many we can all relate to, Hans shares his story of woes, heartbreak, and struggle, never attempting to extract pity from his audience. He loves being a performer and it shows, along with his equally charming partner, Joseph, assisting and partaking in the story, just enough to enhance those moments. Hans is telling you tales from his life, but never does he forget the audience is there to be entertained. Eli Hans is a young-at-heart old soul, and that makes f... full review

This is one of the best shows I've seen at fringe. In fact, this shows is one of my favorite shows I've seen in a long time. I had goose bumps right from the very beginning with the overture. Eli Hans is an incredible performer. He is amazing how he tells his stories of all the challenges and how he has overcome them and even thrives. His singing is great and it"s fun to watch him dance. This show inspired me. This is show should be on Broadway. ... full review

Great art is both specific and universal. Out of the Blue was very specifically Eli's story, one told with passion, humor, insight, detail and great talent, but judging by my own and the audience's response, Out of the Blue spoke to us, resonated with each one of us too. That something so autobiographical, so personal, could be so fascinating is terrific; that something so autobiographical and personal could also be so relevant to every audience member . . . well, this is what makes great theater. And to see this play live, in such an intimate space, was a gift. (That being said, Out of the Blue could easily be performed just as effectively on a much larger stage. Absolutely.)... full review

This show has something that I believe almost everyone can relate to, whether it be about the fears of surviving a deadly disease, never finding true love, or loosing someone you desperately love, among others. It was performed with such honesty. You left feeling that Eli Hans had just opened up his heart to you. His engaging stage presence and lovely voice made for a great performance and very enjoyable show. Eli Hans and Joseph Bennett gave us all food for thought about healing and persevering though life's hardest and darkest times. I highly recommend this show to anyone with a heart! ... full review

This show is spectacular!!! It is a love story.... to love and be loved. A range of emotions from laughter to tears. The lessons of fear and shame are relatable and an important take aways from Eli's story. This not only a story of one mans journey, it is an important message of struggle, personal growth, acceptance, resilience and self love. More people need to see this show, especially teens and young adults, and be touched by the raw and vulnerable performance. ... full review
