What I liked
The theatre space seemed tailor-made for the show – having been to other venues, you couldn’t imagine it anywhere else. The actors were wonderfully and creatively choreographed around the cramped quarters of a dingy hotel room. Also, how great to see so many veteran performers at the top of the craft on-stage at the Fringe, where shows and casts tend to skew younger.
What I didn't like
Shirley’s first gun was clearly fake, her second gun looked totally real – I’d have preferred the 2nd gun the whole time so as not to so clearly break the illusion.
My overall impression
A LAUGH RIOT! Walker’s play, as performed by an outstanding and game collection of comedic actors, fires on all cylinders from lights up. You truly believe you’re in the presence of the dumbbest group of low-level criminals ever, watching their absurd rationales ping-pong off of each other like gunfire. Never a dull moment, this confidently directed bit of comedic mayhem is easily a highlight of the fest.
