What I liked

The writing was tight and the plot was entertaining. The actors brought the characters to life with perfect comic timing and fast-paced delivery of lines. The simple set design—a seedy motel room with two beds, a door to the hallway, a door to the bathroom, and a window with curtain—was perfect with all the elements well utilized. Although only the action taking place in this room can be seen by the audience, the comic implications of the actions taking place outside of the room via descriptions of the view from the window, are central to the plot. Despite many plot twists in a pretty short time (75 minutes), the story wraps up neatly not leaving the audience guessing or hungering for more.

What I didn't like

Honestly, not a single thing. This was perfection.

My overall impression

A delightfully dark comedy about a bumbling father and son criminal team, their boss, an alcoholic motel manager, and a kidnapped cook who hates her father. Fast-paced and funny. I was laughing all the way through.

Such a great show for me to watch on Father’s Day. This is a show that you must catch at the festival this year.
