Teaser Trailer:

“This is a smart, must-see play. It grabs you and does not let go. Full of surprises.”

“If you like poetry, or large concepts, drug use, interesting conversation, and bizarre physical ailments… this is your thing.”

“A disturbing and necessary piece that builds to a shocking conclusion”

“Filled with moments of truth and humor”

“A beautifully written psychedelic exploration of self-identity”

“A drug-induced kaleidoscope of thoughts and feelings”

“I loved it!”

Inspired by true events, and presented as one continuous scene, Matt Benyo’s Nostalgium will have you inching closer to the edge of your seat with every twist and turn. It’s 85 minutes filled with love, fear, regret, hope, and mystery as you’re invited into a world you never imagined could be right next-door.
When a young poet ventures into the home of his eclectic neighbor, he’ll find himself entombed by “three-hundred thousand, three hundred and thirty one nostalgium laden knickknacks” – each with their very own story to tell, and each, a larger piece of a very fascinating puzzle. What begins simply as a neighborly visit unravels into a horrific, electrifying, and haunting biography of a woman trapped by homesickness in a game of cat and mouse no one can escape.
Nostalgium is directed by award winning filmmaker Alexander Thomas Scott and features Tracy Dillon and Luke Scroggins. Audiences are advised that this production includes simulated drug use, theatrical haze, adult language, mature themes, and violent images as well as the opportunity for on-stage seating (which is highly recommended). Seating will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
