What I liked
So well written and performed. The amount of heart included in this piece is immeasurable. I don’t often cry in the theatre, but I found myself in tears today. Her story is one that deserves to be heard!
What I didn't like
There should be a line wrapped around the block to see this show. The only thing wrong was the house wasn’t big enough to fit all the people who should see this.
My overall impression
The word Bravery is thrown around a lot these days in theatre, but this production is perhaps the Bravest thing I have seen on stage. Teruko is unabashedly honest, hilarious, and just downright moving in her solo show. She proves herself as not only a necessary presence in the theatre, but also a necessary presence in the world. I cannot recommend this show enough!
