A deep and detailed portrayal of Latinx folks and the community they had built within gang culture. The humanity that was offered and protected throughout the piece reflected what has been missing in other portrayals of Latinx people in other forms of media. The piece points to the oppressive violence these folks were (and are) faced with to survive day-to-day. It makes one reflect on what types of harm are marked as "criminal" and "unlawful" and which are not. The familial ties between the cast were so incredibly clear, and the vulnerability of the actors offered provided so much space to witness and be affected by their journeys. Overall a great show. Pretty amazing the story that was able to be told in just 30 min. The actors were surprisingly very strong in their roles and brought it to life with their stage positioning and use of stage sounds. It told a strong story that made me both slightly uncomfortable (in a good way) and also inspired to learn more about communities outside my own.... full review

I had the pleasure of attending the preview performance of Royal Flush, and was blown away! It was a delight to see a thoughtful play with meaningful content. That, paired with strong acting and innovative direction makes it a Must See! Multiple people in the audience were moved to tears. Royal Flush was by far the best Fringe play I have seen. I will certainly be returning for their upcoming performances. ... full review
