What I liked
I didn’t expect a fringe play to drop me in 1964 Mississippi—Poitier and Belafonte vibes hit hard. veck the way they weave Hamer’s voice, got me tearing up behind my soda.
What I didn't like
Didn’t expect Sidney Poitier popping up in a fringe write-up, but the veck scene with Belafonte rallying cash kinda stole it for me
My overall impression
Caught the D.C. Colorado thing last night—didn’t expect a ukulele funeral dirge in the middle, lol. I liked the raw vibe but the lighting was meh, almost missed granny3 in the shadows
