What I liked

Great multi-character work by Felix Birdie. And the video moments were wonderfully produced and outrageously silly. You really get everything in this one – video, one liners, visual gags, adventure storytelling, fantastic songs, goofy props, and more heart than you would expect. Definitely not for the kiddos, though :)

What I didn't like

Not all the jokes work, but they come fast and furious, and enough land to ensure comedic momentum.

My overall impression

Imagine Monty Python’s Holy Grail mashed up with Blazing Saddles featuring songs by Tenacious D… and even then you wouldn’t fully capture the absurd zaniness of D.C. Colorado. This musical comedy might be the most unique show of the fest, and also the funnest. The cast is excellent, with some truly inspired performances, notably Jack de Sanz as the devilish Lucindro, and Joey Swift as Long John Silver, a fancy horse with a very loooooong mane. Hilarity ensues is an understatement.
