The wit and wordplay in the songs, the endless bits and puns, the specificity of the two lead characters amid all the absurdity, the catchy and memorable music, and the performances overall. The two leads hold everything together with goodness and charm, while the rest of the characters are played in a fully committed, balls to the wall way that you’re just not seeing many places these days.
What I didn't like
would love to see everyone get a microphone so the voices can compete with the music, but we’ll save that for the national tour!
My overall impression
A funny, impressive, inventive, and ORIGINAL musical the likes of which I’ve truly never seen before. This show is what the Fringe is at its best: a tight group of creatives on the exact same wavelength with a STRONG, UNIQUEVISION, working together to present something new and exciting to the world. Anyone who sees this show now will count themselves lucky that they did so before it inevitably becomes a larger production or even a movie.
