The puppeteers were able to incorporate a small amount of improv based on how the audience is reacting. The script also has a few little bits that will go over the heads of the little ones but keep the grown-ups engaged. I liked the bits where they sang in nice group harmonies.
What I didn't like
The puppeteers seemed to have more energy, expressiveness and projection than the main storyteller. He could stand maybe to project more.
My overall impression
Great, low-key, family-friendly show by Mr. Malcolm and four excellent, expressive puppeteers. At 45 minutes long it moves along quickly enough to keep the little ones entertained. Seems geared at the age 4-8 demographic, introducing kids to the idea that they have big uncomfortable feelings sometimes, and gives them ways to deal with them.
