What I liked
It’s been hours since I left the theater and Segute’s stunning voice is still ringing in my heart. Every time she sang I wanted it to never stop. Her voice touched something deep in my heart. I truly enjoyed getting to meet her brother through his poetry, photos and Segute’s stories. It felt very intimate.
Perhaps a strange addition to my review…the wardrobe was perfect. The dress was perfect. The color was great and the fit was impeccable. I thought it paid subtle homage to both the “good girl” and the “wild child” archetypes that were explored during the show.
I truly enjoyed this show and I hope it has many packed audiences as it travels the country and touches hearts.
What I didn't like
This show doesn’t need any help from me. It’s lovely.
My overall impression
Segute is a beautiful performer. The show was lovingly crafted and performed with equal parts grace and power.
