I especially loved the Lithuanian songs, and the stories of her brother. Such poignant memories of her childhood and how her brothers beautiful poetry and love lives in her. She does a great job of telling the heartbreaking results of active addiction and the hope that recovery brings.
What I didn't like
Though I like the sparse stage, maybe the story could be better served by using different “set pieces” instead of moving one chair from place to place. Each “chair” could evoke the different times she is traveling through – early childhood, teens to young adult, adult – and use lighting to keep the focus on her performance and keep the feeling of an empty stage.
My overall impression
Such a heartfelt, honest portrayal of one woman’s journey from addiction to recovery.
