A superb show; Lindsay Lucas-Bartlett gives a one-woman masterclass; and Trust Me I’m From Essex gets a sharp, funny revival. Capably directed by Director/Actor Lindsay Perry– it’s a must-see not only because it is an accomplished show, but because it’s an astonishing masterclass in acting- a marathon of a monologue that holds us in thrall.
What is wonderful about Lucas-Bartlett’s performance is, in part, her pacing. Her exceptional relaxation on stage is never at the expense of dramatic momentum. Lindsay’s background in improv comedy shines through her comedic songs which are not only hilariously entertaining, but also engagingly heartfelt.

This one woman show was very well thought out and crafted in a way that took us on an amazing journey. One thing I always enjoy about the theater is being able to learn something that I didn't know. This show taught me about a place that I actually thought was London but now I know it it isn't. And seeing the story that Lindsey went on to her life leading up to the present was absolutely Charming enriching educational and inspiring. It's definitely a must see especially because every good comedian knows that there's always some darkness and drama in comedy. And every good dramatic actor knows that there's always some funny and humor in darkness and drama. Lindsey's both of these and she executed both ideas very well...

This show is a delightful romp through the last 20 years. Lindsay's stories are relatable no matter where you grew up - but having grown up in Essex, I had the extra level of nostalgic time travel. ...

I was blown away by Lindsay’s performance in this one woman show. She commands the stage in a way that her talent and work seems effortless. Between the singing, laughing and tears, I appreciated Lindsay taking us on her journey and sharing pieces of her with us. She has quite a story, and it was delivered and portrayed so lovely in her solo performance. I saw this show last year at Fringe, and didn’t think it could get better, but she somehow never ceases to amaze me. ...
