What I liked
“LINDSAY LUCAS-BARTLETT BREAKS HOLLYWOOD, AGAIN”
The best – and terribly moving – moment comes when Lucas-Bartlett breaks the fourth wall. She talks about teenage angst, gender stereotypes and equality, and British expatriates who have made Los Angeles their home. It’s an important play, you just need to see it!
“WARMLY DIRECTED BY LINDSAY PERRY”
Right up until the last scene, Director/Actress Lindsay Perry dwells on the play’s painfully recognisable humour and warmly captured details, making for a show that is deeply funny without detracting from a gradually accumulating sense of melancholy.
“BEST THEATRE POSTER DESIGNER IN TOWN”
American Actor, Producer and Graphic Designer Jeff Pridgen’s stunning eye-catching artwork sells this show at a glance!!
What I didn't like
Can’t believe I managed to bag a ticket to these SOLD OUT shows!!!
I have no doubt that this production will be picked up to tour…
My overall impression
PICK OF THE FRINGE
This show has categorically marked Lucas-Bartlett out as 2022’s biggest star – a formidably assured performer with a delightfully absurdist streak.
