Lindsay is an incredible performer - she had us laughing and crying throughout the piece, never letting the energy in the room drop. Cultural references had to people from both sides of the Atlantic howling with laughter, and through music and physical comedy “Trust me, I’m from Essex” managed to tackle quite serious content while leave us feeling optimistic with the outcome....

'Trust Me, I'm From Essex' is a deeply personal story told with hilarity and poignancy. It never holds the audience hostage when delving into pain, but instead proceeds with tenderness and British charm. It moves quickly and is delightfully relatable. Lindsay is definitely a talent who is easy to love and root for!...

Funny and witty yet vulnerable. Somehow Lindsay gets you to laugh and cry within the same sentence. A clever way to bring you along the struggle and life of an aspiring actress from Essex. A real joy to watch and I only wish it was longer....

Ninja story narrated with nostalgia
This show was INCREDIBLE. Not only was it fast moving and completely engaging, everything hit perfectly. The minimalist approach to a one woman show had an incredibly mighty effect. This and her talents all made for her incredible lyrics, story telling and creative story. It was equally as touching as it was funny. A bit of culture and relatability. The way life shapes us, and with the best to come, came through in this play. Must see must support! ...
