Great play! This cast is amazing and their strong and compelling performances brought the intensity to life. Bridget Avildsen was powerful in her silence and when she spoke, her excellent delivery and stage presence commanded your attention. Really enjoyed it!... full review

Highly Recommend! About damn time a group a female thugs can get foul and bloodied. Why is that only reserved for men? Women can monologue about Shakespeare 📖 and cigarettes 🚬 while cleaning their guns 🔫 . This “heist gone wrong” one-act play by Chris Haas is a showcase of words, style and genre a la Mamet. But, this time, it’s the ladies standing center stage holding the smoking gun. ... full review

The cast was fantastic and kept really tight with the theme. I was surprised with the fight scenes which were very technically performed looked real from my 5 feet view. A throw me off guard ending that was very well masked. Fabulous writing & Directing Chris Haas. Ladies BRAVO 🎬... full review

A modern day Shakespearean menstrual soap opera. Full of egregious attitude, and aggressive behavior. The overall dialogue was crude, sexy, and impressive all at the same time. I admired such charming naïveté between the cast making up those four criminally determined young women. The performers gave the sentiment “no honor among thieves” a new meaning all together. The acting was highly remarkable, the energy was high, and in a big way majestically lit up the small stage that makes up the Loft Ensemble.... full review

I was looking forward to the Hollywood Fringe so much, and I gotta say - Meeting Across the River does NOT disappoint! I had an absolute blast, and wish I had gone to see it earlier! These 4 women put on a wonderful show that to me, really exemplifies what black-box theatre is all about. Quippy, fast-cut, Tarantino-esque dialogue punches vivid imagery into our imaginations, and these actresses do a stunning job of transforming a theatre space we're all familiar with into a criminal get away. I'll stop gushing so as not to ruin the play but - Strong performances, strong script, an absolute delight. Brava! ... full review

Stellar writing and loved the delayed reveal of the intrusion/what had occured. Well paced, and great work all around! Katie was wonderful to watch and characters were well developed by the cast. Kudos!... full review

Quick-witted writing, these four women are lightning fast at delivering comedy across serious themes. Each character was different and great, and the end was unexpected (in a good way).... full review

Loved it. Very fast paced, interesting and unexpected. The story unfolds as you hear each of the characters’ perspectives. A fun quick ride! Bridget Avildsen really brought the character to life with a lived in performance. Alanna Kepes and Bridget Avildsen both caught the eye with their subtle confidence and reserved energy.... full review
