What I liked
I chose this as Best Musical because, although not polished, this show was even more entertaining and more original than other musical offerings I watched. (This is the Fringe, after all; it’s the perfect place for raw, unpolished work—my own show is definitely NOT polished; it’s VERY rough.) All three other shows I watched are VERY polished, by the way—very professional and slick, but….not as interesting and fun. This was like a sitcom: fun, funny, cute, a bit predictable—but we love that in a RomCom/sitcom. I loved seeing the traditional Bollywood finale and signature B-wood dance moves!
What I didn't like
Basically, what we all need in the Fringe: more rehearsal to get things tighter, more elaborate choreography for the finale (but, it was enjoyable as is), just a bit more polish.
My overall impression
Cute, fresh Bollywood with LGBT twist
