I was impressed with the quality of the streaming (watched the show from another state)…no problems. Actors were clearly into their roles, especially Gideon. It was very easy to sympathize with his character, and his rapport with the female heroine was a highlight. I also thought the timely and relevant message was worthy around which to build this show. I also thought the minimal set and props were effective (as well as the use of a stage ‘narrator’) – they made it very easy to imagine the expanse of the spaces described in the story!
What I didn't like
Mostly technical issues…there were occasional microphone problems with levels. Sometimes there were dropouts, and sometimes voices were overmiked to the point of distortion either in speaking or (especially) singing. But these problems were minimally intrusive.
My overall impression
Wonderful show! It took a couple of minutes to figure out characters and plot, but once the main characters were established I was hooked. I liked the quasi-renaissance style of the musical numbers and the quality of the singing. Bravo to all!
