The music was great, with several catchy melodies and ridiculously fun lyrics. The plot was easy to follow with a few twists and turns. The overall message was also extremely appropriate and timely. I can easily envision Gideon and the Blundersnorp becoming part of the canon in Children’s Theater.
What I didn't like
I won’t say “improved,” because this was a fringe theater world premier, but once this show gets stages by, say, Seattle Children’s Theater, the design and production values will go way up. It’ll be great fun to see this show with a full budget behind it!
My overall impression
Assuming the target audience is youth (and their parents!), this show was spot-on.
