More stage directions. Maybe some subtitles during the traditional language part projected in the background as a guide. Powerful without , but still
Might add a new layer

My overall impression

Makena told a captivating and emotional story all while capturing the intricacies of the vibrant culture of the African American woman in this one woman show. It was deep, historical, funny , haunting ,and inspiring. A must see!
