What I liked
The mix of humor with deep pain and sadness. Makena was deeply connected to the piece and you could tell. Visually it was striking and fully thought through. She took care of the audience and brought us on a wild ride. I loved every minute of it.
What I didn't like
Nothing. It was fantastic.
My overall impression
I was absolutely blown away by this show. Makena perfectly mixes humor and heartbreak together to create an outstanding performance. I had no idea Margaret Garner’s story before Makena so beautifully portrayed her. This story needs to be told today. It was breathtaking.
