What I liked
Makena seamless transitions from a Ghanaian to an African American period accent like a pro, all the while giving a moving, magnetic performance. She even speaks one of the languages of Ghana as part of her show, the accuracy of which was verified by her African father sitting proudly in the audience. If Marvel were casting another powerful Black female actress then they, or anyone else for that matter, should look no further. Makena is the real deal.
What I didn't like
There is certainly room for the story to be flushed out further as at 45 minutes the audience is left wanting more.
My overall impression
Makena Hammond is a revelation in her one woman show. Not only is her beauty undeniable but she is most certainly one to watch due to her talent.
