What I liked
Makena uses vocal distinctions, space (taking unhurried beats to move into characters and scenes), a heart wrenching raw true story and interweaves them with her African heritage. The show is a work of art! I loved every minute!
What I didn't like
Nothing. It was perfection!
My overall impression
A beautiful and powerful piece of solo theatre, Black Woman in Deep Water is a must see!
