The use of the space and the lighting worked so well to tell the story. Tyson started off by standing in front of a music stand which she set aside when the story started to get fleshed out. That transition from what was almost a spoken word poem to characters in her story worked wonderfully.
What I didn't like
I couldn’t say. The whole piece hung together really well.
My overall impression
What a great show! Deeply personal, and truly accessible. And FUNNY all while dealing with difficult life events. Really well written, staged and performed. So glad that I got to see Heather Tyson on stage.
