It’s a particularly hot summer in the San Fernando Valley, 1977. Betty and her broken family have moved to LA from a small town in Texas. By day, her life is very simple: study for exams, go to church (even though the church she goes to is bogus), and bike up and down Reseda with her best friend. But when the sun goes down, things are different. Betty’s exhausted, but she can’t sleep. Her night time insomnia leads to infinite sit ups and unending memories… some of them horrifying. Betty attempts to control her mind, as she always does, while her father attempts to control her, but her only friends (she has a total of three) are worried that something is wrong.
