The writing is compelling, the direction sharp and smart – the sound design and visuals add so much to the show – the actor’s inclusion of personal family portraits and tributes to his dearly departed are incredibly touching. Most of all, the performance itself is full of humour and tenderness. It’s raw and vulnerable – and so very relatable in its honest and unflinching confrontation of grief.
What I didn't like
Nothing. RUN don’t walk to see this show. Bravo!
My overall impression
David Pavao’s “Adventures in Caregiving” is absolutely riveting. His performance is breathtaking, taking his audience on an intricately woven, heartbreaking tale of devotion, familial duty, responsibility and grief.
