What I liked
The cast is superb. The amount of preparation and rehearsal involved is astounding and belies the work ethic and full commitment these performers have to this show. Like the life of a common housewife of the 50s, nothing is out of place, everything is in order and spotless.
What I didn't like
This work of art has been refined and polished to a high sheen. You couldn’t possibly improve on it without taking something away.
My overall impression
This is a painstaking work of art. A stylized and concise display of the conformity and repetition you would expect in the rigid life of a housewife of that era. The dancers perform with laser precision, the voices deliver perfect harmonies, even the chant-like repetition of the spoken dialogue is like an oppressive kind of spoken word poetry. The overall effect is beautiful and poignant.
