Percy was born fat, gay and Indian… in Orange County. Yes… Orange County, where everybody looks like 3 things: tall, hot and white… like a town full of Starbucks lattes. He became obsessed with Disney films and powerful Black female singers. He realized he was of homosexual persuasion when he heard you get to see Mark Walhberg naked at the end of the film “Boogie Nights.” Adding “gay” to his already failing recipe of being fat and Indian in Orange County wasn’t something he at the time could fathom doing. He ran for student council and was not given the homecoming he was hoping for. All he wanted to do was to be loved so he decided to become skinny, straight and white… the only way to be loved and accepted in Orange County! He became a dancer in the parades at Disneyland where he was for the first time in his life accepted and adored in this new world he calls “fairy tale jail!” He wanted to be accepted so he pretended he was half white and asexual just to make sure he was always neutral and loved. Percy moved to LA to become a stand up comic, but after his first open mic at The Comedy Store went bad… he quit and it has haunted him ever since. He realized he had no real stories to tell in front of a stand up comedy audience because he hadn’t allowed himself to live as his real authentic self… a gay Indian man. He moved back to Orange County to experience his real life for the first time with his Disney friends… at this point in his life he’d never had an alcoholic drink, never been kissed… never been fist. He kissed a girl, didn’t like it… he kissed a boy and it was clear this was it. He had to come out to his parents and sister in the only way their dramatic Indian family could understand… through a “Big Bollywood Coming Out Number!” Percy was accepted by his sister and dad immediately but his mom couldn’t accept him being gay… which led Percy into a spiral downward of going out clubbing, hooking up with random men and getting drunk constantly. After his rock bottom moment (rock bottom… his prison name) Percy decided to once again become the wholesome Disney family boy he always was and cut all the distractions he put in his path out!!! His mother finally blessed and accepted him for who he was and so began the healing process for Percy. With his parents on board nothing could stop Percy from happiness now… he has waited his entire life to be himself!!! Percy went back to The Comedy Store open mic and slayed the house down. Now has his own stand up comedy show at the Haha Comedy Club in NoHo every other Wednesday! He used his original characters to get him into the 2018 CBS DIVERSITY SHOWCASE and started booking roles in FILM/TV and is currently now on tour with Paula Abdul… as her wise crackin sidekick Skat Kat!
