My overall impression
From New York to Edinburgh to Los Angeles, I have seen one-man shows at the Fringe for many, many years. Bill Ratner’s piece is one of the few that is exactly what one should be. Bill made me laugh with a room full of people, and once or twice on my own, I think. He also made me cry; with his honesty, hardship, and, most of all, humor.
Any man who can do an impression of Zero Mostel from Ionesco’s “Rhinoceros” as well as Flint can talk to me about anything. And that is what Bill Ratner does- so very, very well.
