I loved the creativity of the ‘circus’ and the ‘game show’ elements, in particular. The way Holly chose to tell the story made it so much more interesting and fun. Also, her physicality is great – a pleasure to watch. Her characters were clear without being overly caricature.
What I didn't like
It all wraps up really nicely, but maybe leave the audience with a question at the end? That’s just a thought.
My overall impression
An excellently-told, well-structured story that catches you off-guard with an empowering message. This is not a ‘cancer’ story, or even an ‘terrible dating’ story – it’s a story for all women – all people – of how to take charge of yourself. It’s uplifting, inspiring, funny, and incredibly well-acted. A really worthwhile time in the theater!
