Bellyful is one of those performances that stays with you long after you leave the theater. Vivia E. Armstrong takes us on a deeply personal journey, but somehow makes it feel universal. Through humor, vulnerability, music (playing Mary J. Blige's "No More Drama" during seating was the perfect set up!), and masterful storytelling, she invites us to examine the emotional weight we carry and the ways our lives are shaped by the words spoken over us. I laughed, reflected, and found myself unexpectedly emotional at several points. By the end, I wasn't just thinking about her story—I was thinking about my own.... full review

Transforming a litany of health issues into a celebration of the human spirit, Vivia Armstrong's Bellyful details this strong woman's resilience in a world that's not always fair, and often not accepting. Detailing her journey in losing weight and the foibles of our health systems, this charming show is the medicine our society needs to move forward.... full review

Bellyful was a great show and I really enjoyed it. It was emotional, educational, empowering, and funny all at the same time. Vivia shared her story about the ups and downs she experienced throughout her childhood and life, and I thought it was brilliantly delivered. What stood out to me most was her resilience and ability to keep moving forward despite the challenges she faced. I think many women will be able to relate to parts of her story and see themselves in her journey. Thank you, Vivia, for being vulnerable enough to share your experiences with us. I’m excited for your new journey of healing and all that is ahead for you. Your story was inspiring, and I know it will continue to impact others. If you get the chance to see Bellyful, you... full review
